Return/Exchange Policy
We offer a 30 day exchange policy on all parts and accessories from the date of invoice (as long as they are not materially altered). There will be no charge for item exchange as long as the item qualifies. Please contact us at info@ipodmechanic.com for more information.

There are no refunds for iPod repairs or replacement parts.

We will not exchange:

  • Products which are improperly packaged
  • Products with any standard certification labels removed (UL listing, capacity, brand name, UPC code)
  • Products or packages with barcode label or UPC removed
  • Products with SERIAL NUMBER which does not match SERIAL NUMBER on package or invoice (iPodMechanic.com maintains serial number tracking both physical and electronic)
  • DAMAGE: Cracked components or damage
  • DAMAGE: Any dents, scratches, defacement or abuse
  • DAMAGE: Loose, damaged or removed screws/fasteners/clips or any other signs that item has been disassembled.
  • SUBSTITUTES: Whole units, parts, internal components, accessories. We specifically watch for attempts at substitution.

Mail-in iPod Repairs
We do not give refunds for iPod repairs after they have been purchased. In most cases you are covered by our warranty for up to 1 year and even more if you have purchased an extended warranty. Please check your original quote to find the length of your warranty. Customer must cover shipping if the item is not dead on arrival but must be returned for service. To request a return, please email support@ipodmechanic.com with your name and order number.

Diagnostic Testing
Once your iPod is received, we will send a diagnostic and repair quote for your iPod. If you choose to have the iPod repaired, no additional shipping and handling will be charged. If you wish to sell your iPod we will not charge you any additional postage. If you ask to have your iPod returned without repairs, and without accepting a buyout, we reserve the right to charge a $15 fee for handling and additional for shipping. This fee is to help us cover the cost of packaging, shipping, and electronic delivery of your shipping label.

Chargebacks
By placing an order with us you agree to all of the terms and conditions listed. If you institute a chargeback through your payment method in violation of the terms then you expressly agree to compensate us for all of the costs we incur in dealing with it including attorneys fees. If you encounter a problem with your order you agree to try and work with us, in good faith, to rectify the situation. Chargebacks instituted where there has been no prior communication or good faith effort to rectify the situation will be considered cyber shoplifting and immediately reported to the appropriate federal, state and local authorities and will also be listed in various fraud databases.

Non Reply
Several payment requests will be sent for mail-order repairs, if iPodMechanic.com receives no response, the item will be considered abandoned after 60 days.
